Week of October 20, 2024

Hello Friends,

This week we have one in-person regular group, two in-person speciality groups, one regular zoom group, three specialty zoom groups and one special location grief group. Login and location information follow at the bottom of this newsletter.

The 2024 SADOD Finding Support in Grief Conference

To those who attended, your presence made this weekend’s conference truly special. It was incredible to see so many people come together in support of one another. The way you each showed up, whether by sharing your story, listening with compassion, or simply holding space, you created an atmosphere of healing and connection that was so powerful. This weekend reminded us of the power of community in peer grief support and how deeply we need each other as we navigate loss. I'm so grateful for the collective strength we found in each other.

The words I ended the Glow Stick Ceremony ring true for all of you.

Our hope is that you came to see that your grief is welcome here and that your person will always be remembered and loved with no stigma or shame. My wish is that on a day when you feel so alone, that you will know that there is someone out there willing to listen over and over again to your grief story and the story of your person. For those stories are always welcome here.

More photos will follow next week.

~ With care
