Two mothers. Two sons. Two organizations founded after unimaginable heartbreak.
What began as each mother's response to the death of her son grew into two organizations that have supported thousands of people bereaved due to substance use-related causes throughout Massachusetts and beyond. This work now also honors Cheryl’s second son, who died after Team Sharing was founded, along with all those whose lives and memories remain at the heart of everything we do.
On October 3, we invite you to join us for a very special evening this fall as we celebrate 10 years of The Sun Will Rise Foundation, honor Cheryl Juaire's extraordinary legacy as she retires, and look ahead to the future as Team Sharing and The Sun Will Rise Foundation merge together.
This is more than a celebration of two organizations. It's a celebration of every volunteer who gave their time, every facilitator who created a safe place to grieve, every community partner who helped us reach those who needed support, every donor who believed in the mission, and every person who found comfort because someone else understood.
Together, we'll enjoy a wonderful meal, recognize the people who helped shape this journey, have some fun with raffles, auction off low-digit Massachusetts Overdose Awareness license plate numbers (#'s 1-99) and celebrate the future of peer grief support.
