Week of 2/9/26

Love, Still.

Valentine’s Day is next weekend. It’s a day that centers on love, sometimes only a very narrow definition of love. For many people, Valentine’s Day carries reminders of the people we are missing. We know that love doesn’t disappear when someone dies, it becomes different. It shows up in our habits, memories, values, and quiet moments that don’t need an audience. If Valentine’s Day is hard for you, you’re not alone. And if you want a different way to mark it this year, we’re offering a simple, optional project focused on the love that still lives with you.

This Valentine’s week, we invite you to complete this sentence:

“I still love you in the way I ______.”

You can write about a partner, child, parent, sibling, friend, or anyone you love and miss. Say it out loud. Hold it quietly. Share it if you want. Keep it to yourself if you don’t.

Examples:

  • I still love you in the way I make coffee every morning.

  • I still love you in the way I cheer for your favorite team.

  • I still love you in the way I show up for others now.

  • I still love you in the way I miss you.

There is no right way to do this. Short is enough. Private is enough.

with care
